BIOGRAPHY

  Studies in Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts and at the San Carlos Academy. From 1994 to date his work has been based on the  exploration  on the transgressions within  disciplines such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation and video. He has more than 50 group and 10 individual exhibitions, his work has been presented in countries such as Spain, Belgium, Japan, Puerto Rico, the United States, Germany and Mexico, in places such as the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Tamayo Museum, Franz Mayer Museum, Art Museum of the Americas, San Carlos Museum, Maison de l'Amerique Latine, Brussels, Monterrey Museum of Contemporary Art, Maco Zone, Poplar Museum, University Museum of Sciences and Arts, College of Architects of Madrid, Culture Palace Rabenstein de Chemnitz. He has been selected and awarded various awards and recognitions such as the acquisition award at the IV National Biennial of Visual Arts Yucatán, the audience award at the IX Monterrey Femsa Biennial, XVI Tamayo Biennial Selection, Selection “About Change” in Latin America and the Caribbean, World Bank Art Program, Anglo Mexican Foundation Prize, Selección-Loewe Foundation Prize, among others. Fellow of the Artistic Residence-Institut Potemkin-Germany, Fellow of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts on 2 occasions. His work can be found in collections such as the National Institute of Fine Arts, the Cultural Institute of Yucatán and the Alvar y Carmen T. de Carrillo Gil Contemporary Art Museum, Member of the National System of Creators 2012-2015.
